Papua New Guinea
April 4th Jan and I and a group of 9 divers headed off for Papua New Guinea and a few days of diving at the Tawali Resort before we boarded the Telita for a 9 day live aboard dive adventure. PNG is one of the most bio-diverse marine environments on the planet and we were excited to be diving these remote reefs where few divers have been. The Telita is a 60' live aboard with 5 cabins and takes a max of 10 divers. The boat is small but well laid out for diving with a great dive deck and camera table and a fantastic crew. We did lots of diving but we sure didn't lose any weight the food was great and plenty of it , something about live aboard diving always gives me a healthy appetite. Unfortunately we didn't have great visibility so we spent most of the dives concentrating on macro subjects which we had plenty to choose from. We did get in a wreck dive on a B17 bomber the Blackjack which was a deep dive 150' which was great even with the poor vis. Go to http://www.telitacruises.com/diving.htm if your interested in joining Captain Paul Baker for a PNG diving adventure.
